The experimental results demonstrate the possibility of delayed determination of particlelike or wavelike behavior via quantum entanglement.
The which-path or both-path information of a quantum can be marked or erased by its entangled twin even after the registration of the quantum.
A pair of entangled photons is emitted from either atom A or atom B by atomic cascade decay. Clicks at D3 or D4 provide which-path information, and clicks at D1 or D2 erase it. The detection time of the signal photon is 8 nanoseconds earlier than that of its entangled partner.
